Jaipur's handblock printing art is unique way of printing fabric. During this experience we will take you through the entire process starting from understanding about the wooden hand block designs, block printing by the local printers using various blocks and colours & fabric washing.

Step into the shoes of a worker as we take you through the inner workings of a hand block printing workshop. This experience will reveal the detailed steps required to take a plain sheet of fabric and turn it into various decorative table linens. Beginning with the wood blocks hand carved with intricate designs, all the way through to the finished product!

On this tour you will connect with the local workers, learning the techniques they’ve established to produce consistent, quality products. Everything from the type of wood needed to create a durable block, the amount of dye to be used, and the colour change that occurs during washing. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to test your skills and create your own unique fabric piece!
