Fukuoka was towards the end of our cruise in Japan and we had been to a number of castles, temples and shrines, we opted to do something different. So we took the train for an hour to go on a boat ride around the moat of a castle. Nice and relaxing, but not worth the 2 hour (roundtrip) train ride. The eel lunch was nice. On the way back, we stopped at the Sukura festival which was a good choice. The choice of stops was our choice. Tadashi was very nice and helpful. We would have been better off staying in Fukuoka.
Tadashi was a fantastic guide in Fukuoka and invaluable for our trip to Japan. Very considerate and good English. He helped us with our rail passes, then we took a trip for some incredibly tasty ramen and up to Dazaifu to learn about this shrine. We then went to the national museum, and even managed to see a little sakura. He then went above and beyond to find us an izakaya. Throughout the day he took us on subway, buses and trains - great to learn how to use these too.
Hi Peter-san Ohayou gozaimasu! Thank you for your excellent review.. I'm happy to hear that you and your father enjoyed your stay in Fukuoka. I learned that British people don't use umbrellas even when it's just a little rain . Lastly, my wife loves that jam and tells me that she doesn't use it until a daughter family living in Nagoya returns to my house at summer vacation. Thank you so much.. I hope you and your wonderful father will enjoy the beautiful Sakura in Kyoto and Tokyo. Please come back to Fukuoka again someday.! Tadashi
Arigato gozaimasu for the excellent four hour tour of Fukuoka! We thank you for taking the time
Thank you for your nice comment. I 've enjoyed the wonderful time with the two of you, too. There are still many places I would like to show you in Fukuoka. Please come back to Fukuoka when you have time. Ogenkide! Tadashi
Tadashi san saved my trip! I was in Japan from the 29th to 6th of April for the Cherry blossom season. From 29th to 31st i was in Fukuoka. The first two days I had a really bad inflamed throat and thankfully on the 30th when I had my tour, Tadashi san took me to the drug store and get me sorted with the right med on top on all the sightseeing spots we went to that day. He really went the extra miles with his preparation for the tour with all the documents and pamphlets. If you are visiting Fukuoka, then Tadashi san is your go to guide!
