Fenicians, Romans, Muslims, Christians, Jews, all those passes through Lisbon, changed the city and left their marks: the alphabet, the numbers, the architecture, the tiles, the poetry, the wine and the pastry. Come and join in a walking tour through Alfama, the neighborhood where Fado was born, the Cathedral, where the old mosque is buried, and the Jewish quarter. We finished with a coffee and a custard tart or a ginginha, who knows? It will be unforgettable, I promise you.

The district includes the freguesias (parishes) of São Miguel, Santo Estêvão, São Vicente de Fora and part of the two streets, "Freguesia da Sé: Rua do Barão" and "Rua São João da Praça". Marisa did a great job educating us on the role of spies during World War 2. She is really knowledgeable and is getting her Ph.D on this topic so is also very current on her information. We really enjoyed this tour. Don’t miss it if you are a fan of World War 2 and espionage and intrigue.
Thank you so much! And you got mail :)
I can’t think of a better tour guide we have ever encountered anywhere in the world! Marissa was soooo knowledgeable and such an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. She went above and beyond in making this tour of Évora fun and informative. A rare thing to say she nailed both!
Uau. Thank you. And I hope you comeback for more. And congratulations again for your wonderful wedding! Beijinhos.
Marisa F. Marisa F. was our guide for three days in Lisbon. Marisa F., is an exceptional guide who is a Ph. D candidate in history. She is extremely knowledgeable and a treasure of interesting information. She is pleasant, fun to converse with and energetic. Marisa had great suggestions of things to do. She is patient and flexible and has a happy, positive personality. She took us to wonderful out of the way restaurants where we enjoyed delicious meals. Without a doubt the best guide we’ve had in our many world travels. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was my pleasure to meet you both, Jorge and Vera. See you soon!!!
